valborg/walpurgis two
valborg/walpurgis one
People on their way to the Walpurgis fire - or the Valborgs fire as we call it in Sweden. I love these old pagan holidays.
twisted charm - boring lifestyles
This has been one of my favourite songs lately. Twisted Charm is from Finsbury Park UK. They have a great late 70's New Wave sound which reminds me a bit of early X-Ray Spex, Buzzcocks and Public Image Ltd. Great stuff!

heroes - 0.07%
Heroes is back again! Chapter Nineteen is a great ride. But so much is happening that it's more or less useless trying to retell anything. I would really like some episodes now that focus on just one or two of the characters. Why not Mr Linderman and the Petrelli brothers mother Angela Petrelli for example. I would love to know more about their background. Especially after this episode. Now there are only four episodes left this season. I'm really looking forward to see how they will end this.

maps - don't fear the sun
tomboy - flamingo
I've been listening a lot to these two songs lately. Unfortunately I don't know that much about the artists.
Maps aka James Chapman is from Northampton and the songs I've heard so far from his comming (14th May) album 'We Can Create' are both beautiful and brilliant.
TomBoy aka Tomas Barfod is from Denmark. Don't know much more than that.
Hope you enjoy the songs.

genesis - dancing with the moonlit knight
I don't remember what I've posted on my blog anymore. It's too big. I hope I'm not repeating myself too often. I love this Genesis song. It's from their 1973 album "Selling England by the Pound". I think it's one of the greatest progressive rock albums of all time. The video is from a live performance back in 1973. The contrast between Peter Gabriels theatrics and showmanship and the extremely blank and boring looks of the rest of the band is fascinating. It couldn't have come as a total surprise when Gabriel left the band in 1975.

the magician longs to see
Warning! Major spoilers ahead!
Through the darkness of futures past, the magician longs to see. One chants out between two worlds: "Fire Walk With Me." We lived among the people - I think you say convenience store? We lived above it. I mean it like it is, like it sounds. My name is Mike. His name is BOB.
I've just finished episode 18 of Twin Peaks. The Second season is just as great as the first one. If possible it's even a bit darker. At least in the beginning when it becomes obvious that Leland Palmer has abused and killed his own daughter. Pretty heavy stuff for a TV-series to deal with. Eventhough they kind of hide it behind Bobs possession of Leland. I'm totally looking forward to the second box set so I can watch the last 11 episodes.

mapei - video vixens
More Swedish stuff here. Mapei aka Jaqueline Cummings is from Stockholm and she's bloody brilliant! Seems like it's time for me to go out a lot more. I've missed loads of great stuff.
Here you have some more of Mapeis stuff:

death from above 1979 & skweee
death from above 1979 - sexy results (mstrkrft editition)
I sat in front of my iBook and viewed some old Death from Above 1979 videos (like the one above) on YouTube and checking out some links, myspace and wiki and other places. You know how it is sometimes. Suddenly I came to a Flow Magazine article titled "Synthetik Skandinavian Funk is called Skweee". What the fuck is Skweee!? was my first thought. Have I missed something? Obviously I had. I love it when things like this happens - a whole new branch, in this case a very small branch, of music for me to explore!
mesak - popkumm
Can't say that it's easy to find any videos with Skweee bands. But I found this one with Finnish Mesak. I also found this page - Nations of Skweee - where you can listen to some of the artists and find some more info. A music style whos main labels are called Flogsta Danshall (flogsta danshall at myspace) and Harmönia can't possibly be wrong. It has to rule. At least for a couple of days.

I used sunflower seeds, snapdragon seeds, lupin seeds and cornflower seeds. And spinach seeds of course.

new memory
Bought some more memory for my phone. Now my mobile phone is more powerful than my Macintosh Performa 6200 was twelve years ago. I have 1 GB of music on it and 500 MB of animated TV shows. It makes commuting so much more fun!
swarming wood ants
I saw this huge nest of wood ants that were swarming last week. It was kind of impressive. These are just a few of them.

electrelane - to the east
I saw Electrelane at Debaser a year or two ago. They were brilliant. This is a new video and a new song from their comming album "No Shouts No Calls" which will be released on April 30. If we can predict anything from this song their new album will be just as great as their old ones. Sounds like a nice summer soundtrack for 2007.

hood love
I've finally become a real member of the "hood" and made peace with R&B. This genre bored me to death before. Mostly because of the feeble and meaningless music and the constant wailing of it's stars. But something has changed - I kind of like this slick minimalistic electronic music now (eventhough it's stars usually look funny in a sad wannabe porn star way).
