psycho killers & superheroes

It's dark and cold outside so I spend a lot of time in front of my laptop watching TV. Both Lost, Weeds and Veronica Mars have had their season finales and won't be back until january. But Dexter and Heroes are still on! Dexter is yet another take on these super smart psycho killers that still plagues our TV:s and cinemas. But Dexter is a bit better and definitely funnier than your average psycho killer. This is a crime solving and friendly neighbour psycho killer from Miami! So it's kind of a mix of Manhunter, American Psycho, Miami Vice and the dark humour of Fight Club. You may be surprised but it actually works quite well.

But my big TV favourite so far this autumn is Heroes. This is a TV series about ordinary people who find out that they aren't so ordinary. They are mutants! Just like the X-men. But this is before they get organized and starts to wear funny suits. They are still not sure what to do with their powers. My favourite american comic book writer Jeph Loeb and the brilliant comic book artist Tim Sale are both involved in Heroes. Maybe that's one reason why it's so good. If you enjoyed movies like X2 and V for Vendetta I'm sure you will enjoy this series too.
