Tony Wilson died of a heart attack on 10 August, following complications from kidney cancer. Modern music would not be what it is without him. He created Factory Records and started The Haçienda. He discoverd and promoted great bands like Joy Division, New Order, A Certain Ratio and the Happy Mondays. He should be an inspiration for all the boring and incompetent people you find in the music and entertainment business today. A man who believed in art and making history instead of making money. Those people are very rare nowadays. I'm not even sure they exist anymore.
