battlestar galactica - 4:11 sometimes a great notion

This was a very dark, but brilliant, start of the final act of Battlestar Galactica. Humans and rebel cylons have finally arrived at Earth. But it's not a paradise, it's a desolate place plagued by radiation after a nuclear war.

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!

Depression and unrest starts to spread through out the fleet and causes suicides, fights and vandalism. The President becomes paralysed by her disappointment and grief of finding hell instead of paradise. Baltar and the Cylons discover that the 13th Tribe were Cylons - that Earths native inhabitants were Cylons. The four known of the Final Five and Starbuck also discovers things that changes their lives. It's an epic, almost mindblowing, episode that really takes SciFi TV-series to a whole new level. This is as far from the optimism of Star Trek as you can get. I'm really looking forward to the last 9 episodes and some kind of conclusion. While waiting for the next episode you can always read this excellent article in Wired about the women of Galactica.

Frak Earth!
