david bowie - station to station
Tokyo 1978 with Adrian Belew on guitar. Bowie looks euphoric on stage and it would have been fun to have been there.
It's not the side-effects of the cocaine
I'm thinking that it must be love

weird tapes - the heavens
Weird Tapes has made some nice tunes recently. The Heavens reminds me of a modern version of something from Eno/Byrnes My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts or Cans 1977 album Saw Delight.
For those who wonder. The video is made out of pieces from La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc by the Danish director Carl Theodor Dreyer.

my bloody valentine - soon
My Bloody Valentine is one of my favourite bands from the late 80's and early 90's. Excellent dream pop.

stockholm monsters - partyline
Is it Joy Division? Is it New Order? No, it's the Stockholm Monsters. Another great 80's band from Manchester and Factory Records. This song was, as far as I know, released in 1987. I'm not really sure since Stockholm Monsters never became as famous as New Order. Any way. This is a great song and the single version is even better! Look for FAC 146.

clock dva - resistance
Resistance is from Clock DVA's 1982 album Advantage. It was their first on a major label. Just like Human League and Cabaret Voltair they are from Sheffield. Adi Newton had actually played with The Future which would later become the Human League.
