Two loud explosions echoed through Fiskis later in the evening. Don't know it if was something inside the old school or explosives used by the firefighters.
Just watched the first six episodes of season two. Didn't really like the first one... but the rest... I've been laughing constantly for a couple of hours now! It's so good! Can't wait for the next episode. Mary-Louise Parker, Kevin Nealon, Justin Kirk and Alexander Gould are absolutely fantastic. Kevin Nealon reminds me a bit of Chevy Chase in the 70's when he still was funny. And Meital Dohan... my God! I'm ready to convert! I hope the rest of the season will be this good - then the autumn is saved.
A beautiful morning in Fiskis and short break before I start running to the commuter train.
Finally! Island/Universal has re-released remastered versions of the first three Ultravox! albums. Do yourself a favour and buy them.
The first album, Ultravox!, was released in 1977 and is a bit uneven. But it contains two classic tracks - "I Want to be a Machine" and "My Sex".
The second album, Ha! Ha! Ha!, was also released in 1977. If the first album was some kind of electronic glam rock this album is much more inspired by the punk scene. Eventhough that's hard to hear on the most stand out song of the album, the hypnotic and chillingly beautiful Hiroshima Mon Amour. The CD also contains the brilliant Young Savage and the great first version of Hiroshima Mon Amour from the b-side of the ROckWrock single. Very different, very distorted and absolutely wonderful.
On my way home from Holmen I met Britt-Marie (an old colleague of mine) and her husband Carlos at East. They had some beers together with The Man that Built Fiskis. Unfortunately I don't remember his name. Mental note - don't drink more than three beers on a sunday afternoon before a work week.
I don't really know what people have against these toiletes but they seems to fall down very often.
This little dude landed on my blanket at Holmen. I think dragonflies are one of my top 3 insects together with bees and bumblebees.
It's only 10 September so it's a bit too early for indian summer. But the summer came back in style anyway. Spent a couple of hours in the sun down at Holmen and took a swim in the sea. Not freezing cold in the water but pretty cold. Maybe 15°C.
Yeah, I know that I take pictures like this far too often but I just happen to like them.
There have been plenty of snails this summer. This is my favourite kind, the Roman snail. They are really friendly and interesting to look at.
