A detail from the left side of the Ugly is beautiful piece.

noein
This weird anime is really getting to me. I think it's about adolescence, friendship, time travel, quantum mechanics and two alternative futures fighting about the control of the past but I'm not sure. Anyway it's very weird and fascinating. The mix of CGI and classic animation is excellent and very arty. It's kind of in the same tradition as animes like Lain, FLCL and Paranoia Agent. Give it a chance.

fists of fury
The premier round against the punching bag. I was totally impressed. Very hard hitting and professional.
heroes
Old heroes on the wall. Riddick Bowe, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield. Where are they now? What happened guys?
fiskayet boxing
Today Fiskayet Boxing opened down in Fisksätra Centrum. Now I'm bound to be in great shape this summer.

station to station
Here are we, one magical movement from kether to malkuth
There are you, drive like a demon from station to station
Station to Station - David Bowie
it's more fun to commute
It's more fun to commute? Not really. The trains are insanely crowded and outdated. Public transport doesn't really seem to have any priority at all in Stkhlm politics nowadays.
das boot dude
This is me doing my serious Das Boot pose. The weird wilderness dude is out again struggling through knee deep snow.
winter weirdoland
Went out in the forest this weekend too. Am I slowly turning into a loner and a weirdo? Scary!

class of 2006
This seems to be a promising year for anime series. My favourites so far are Noein, Eureka Seven and Karas. Of them I like Eureka Seven the most. It's a great mecha anime created by bones, the studio which gave us masterpieces like Fullmetal Alchemist, RahXephon and Scrapped Princess. Once again they have managed to create an intriguing mix of drama, great characters, imagination and action. The animation is good, maybe a bit more traditional than in Noein and Karas who depend more on CGI, but it doesn't really matter when the story is as good as it is. Eureka Seven also has a great soundtrack. Especially Hiroshi Watanabes (a.k.a Quadra) excellent house tune GET IT BY YOUR HANDS. I recommend all three of these anime series and hope that 2006 will continue to be a great year for anime.

field
This field was between me and the sea. To the right lies the Erstavik Estate and behind me the overgrown remains of the old Cholera cemetary.
marsh
This marsh was the favourite spot for my happy team of Yellowhammers. They sung like crazy and made some pretty impressive flying while a lonely deer tiptoed behind the trees.
paint erosion
The paint helps to erode the concrete and transforms the wall into something that looks like a painting by Jackson Pollock. I like that this graffiti works both from a distance and from a very close range.
skulls
It is kind of strange that you can find a work of art like this deep inside the forest. Will this be the petroglyphs of the future?
the wall
This is the wall at the biggest of the two abandoned shooting ranges. More machinery and bigger surfaces to paint. It's a weird and totally cool place in the middle of nowhere. Just trees, grass, rusty metal and concrete.
power line
This is one of many power lines that cross the forests outside Fiskayet. I really like power lines. Especially the ones that buzz.
bad ass weed
Bad Ass Weed - a classic graffiti theme and the prefered recreational summertime drug in Fiskayet.
wild style
the old shooting range
The abandoned Fiskayet shooting range. The sign says "Shooting range 50m, Only jacketed bullets calibre 22." This must be a white trash wet dream.
tracks
I had no map. I followed the ski tracks and pretended that I knew how to use the sun to take directions. It worked out pretty well. I managed to find my way back home to write this nonsense.
deep inside the Fiskayet forest
I went deep deep inside the Fiskayet forest today. Four hours of serious walking through snow and ice. The beauty almost knocked me out. A small flock of Yellowhammers followed me through the forest and over the fields. Sometimes they rested in a tree and ate some seeds while I drank my organic hippie green tea. It was total bliss.
