deep throat
Today I met Fiskis own Deep Throat in his favourite secret place at Holmen and got some serious info about the state of Fiskis. So put your seat belts on and listen...
-There's a war going on between the Somalis and the Turks in Fiskis. One Somali was stupid enough to stab a well known and well connected Turk with a knife. Bad move! Now the Turks want revenge.
-Youth gangs in Fiskis totally demolished a police car. What did the police do? Well, they called a Mr E in Fiskis and asked him to speak with the kids and ask them why they did it... really impressive police work...
-The most well-known hobo in Fiskis is in deep shit. He has managed to annoy almost everyone. In local media they write that he has assaulted a fourteen year old girl. That's not the whole trouth. The girl was part of a youth gang that harassed him. Five times this summer Mr Hobo has been beaten up by the youth gangs. And since the time Mr Hobo drove his car through the window at the local pub no-one really cares. Now people start to doubt that he will survive the summer if he persists to stay in Fiskis.
-Salvan has been filed for bankruptcy. The owners celebrated that by totally smash the place to pieces after taking away everything of value. Now I have to go to Eastside for my beers. I also have to look out for Mr Hobo so he don't run through the window with his big old Hobo truck again.
Damn - Deep Throat really knows the good stuff! Fiskis rules!
midsummer
This is the midsummer sky above Holmen. Midsummer is my favourite holiday. Spent some of it in the grass at Holmen reading chapter seven - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - in Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows. It's one of the most beautiful texts I've ever read.
"In midmost of the stream, embraced in the weir's shimmering armspread, a small island lay anchored, fringed close with willow and silver birch and alder. Reserved, shy, but full of significance, it hid whatever it might hold behind the veil, keeping it till the hour should come, and, with the hour, those who were called and chosen."
The Piper referred to in this chapter is the Great God Pan.
holmen
Summer holidays in Fiskis are usually spent down at Holmen. Today it was 19 degrees centigrade in the water. I hope it will get warmer soon, but it was good enough for a short swim.

the "original" malte
There will soon be plenty of pictures from Maltes christening on this blog so I think this is a good time to present the "original" Malte. He was a really cool man and a totally excellent grandfather. We all miss him a lot so I'm very happy that we have one brand new little Nils Malte Nilsson with us now.
time travel seven
I'll buy a beer to the first one who recognize this party dude! Not that hard... I was stupid enough to give you all a maxi big clue...
