They said it was cool and fun - but no-one ever said that it would make you smart too. Smoke hacsh now!
falling down

Another evening at the restaurant. Very calm. Everyone where at home watching the Song Contest. Kea came by and said hallo.
malte
A short break in the viewing of the song contest. Time to think a bit about life and stuff. Dad sits in the dark behind him.
melodifestival
Yes, this is Malte and the crew watching the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest trials. Malte managed to sing with most of the songs. Great voice and plenty of good moves. Go! Malte, Go!

maid in fiskis
In Sweden there's a debate about tax deductible maids. Well, actually it's more of a right wing propaganda onslaught to promote maids. The Swedish Employers' Association, Svenskt Näringsliv contributed to this debate on March 2 in the conservative Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. The headline was "The Maid is a success in Europe" and they claimed that these so called household services are supposed to solve every problem in society. They are supported by liberal and right wing editorials that also asserts that these services will create hundreds of thousands of new jobs. Now the lazy hordes of the unemployed will be transformed into obedient domestic workers. Huge amounts of money will be saved for the already rich and wealthy. And as always the poor will stay poor. If you read the same newspaper on page 6 you'll find a very small notice that says:
"Fewer jobs than expected were the result when the Finnish system with tax deductible maids were evaluated. The tax deduction were realized four years ago and has created 2000 full time jobs. (...) The system has cost the Finnish government more than 88 million Euro."
Wow! That's capitalism promoted by the rich! 88 million Euro of the tax payers money to create 2000 cheap maids for the wealthy! What a success story!!
triple trash treat
This weeks triple trash treat is all about the unbearable beauty of Fiskis. First the most dangerous place in Fiskis, then my staircase and finally my access balcony. Enjoy.
super long limo
Fred and Nader in the super long limo. Me and Maria were somewhere far far away in the back. Unfortunately the limo turned out to be evil. It took Maria's cell phone. Demon limo, I command thee! Thou shalt give the phone back to her!
no train - invisible train
First there's no train at all - then the invisible train pass by with some invisible passengers. Spooky.

blinded by spring
Me & Maria stopped for a coffee outside Rosenbad. Beautiful weather. I love this feeling you get when winter turns into spring. You are totally blinded by the strong sunlight but have a big smile on your face because you finally can feel the warmth of the sun. Here Maria demonstrates the perfect "I'm blinded but I love it!" pose.
sorrow
Found this weird place of sorrow in the tunnels below Slussen.
I tried to find her cause I can't resist her
I never knew just how much I missed her

wage slave
Wage slave... I don't know why, but those two words keeps popping up in my mind... Am I a wage slave? It's so obvious... isn't it Johan? You're an absolute super slave...
I'm looking forward to read Corinne Maier's Bonjour Paresse or Hello Laziness! Why Hard Work Doesn't Pay as it's called in english. She seems to have defined what should have been obvious to us all.

brazilian food
My friend Clara invited me to Brazilian lunch today! Very interesting. The blackbean casserole was a bit like swedish "bruna bönor" or brown beans. Very nice, but less spicy than I thought it would be (don't ask me why - but swedes always think that food from other countries will be hot and spicy compared to swedish food). To that we had gari. Gari was a weird experience for me as a swede. Didn't remind my of anything I've eaten before. Not bad - but very different. Sort of like dry, crispy couscous with fried onions. Interesting! After that we had an excellent dessert made out of passion fruit and cream. Super nice - thank you Clara!

defect reported
SL continues to suck big time. They raised the ticket fares to absurd levels. As a result 10 000 less use the public transport system in Stockholm each day. That means 30 miljon euro less in revenues each year. Great work SL! Free Stockholms public transport system from market bullshit and incompetent leadership. Until that happens - support planka.nu!
